2014 was a very busy year! I recorded and released the ‘Songs Sung True’ EP in July. Since the release of the record, I have an additional group of songs that are now ready to record as a follow up to that effort. I continued to explore writing styles and performing as a singer-songwriter. I’m energized by the focus, intimacy, and lyrical content that the format demands, and I’ve begun building a new audience in new venues featuring primarily original music. Opportunities included hosting songwriter nights, performing at established and new local music venues, and opening for popular Indianapolis rock bands.

In January 2015, my rock band ‘Jason Brown & the Higher Ground’ began performing. This takes the music to an entirely new level of energy and interest. Can’t wait to show you all what I’ve been working on so come out and see me soon!

I’ve been a part of the Indianapolis music scene since 1993, originally as the front-man for the popular rock quintet Push Down & Turn. During the band’s 10-year run, I toured full-time throughout the U.S. playing clubs, festivals, and colleges. Highlights include playing the H.O.R.D.E festival with Neil Young, Primus, Toad The Wet Sprocket and others. The band also supported Counting Crows, Bush, The Freddy Jones Band, Widespread Panic, and The Bodeans on various tour dates.
