Jason Brown is an indie-rock artist from Indianapolis known for rich sonic atmospheres, well-crafted lyrics, and high-energy performances.
The song ‘Shine Sun Shine’, released May 21st 2016 is the first collaboration with Jason and producer Thom Daugherty. The result is a refreshing blend of Jason’s rock and lyrical sensibilities with Thom’s ear for tight and lively arrangements. Grab a copy of ‘Shine Sun Shine’ at online retailers (iTunes, Amazon, etc.) or listen on Spotify, YouTube etc. It’s sure to be a summer 2016 anthem!
‘Songs Sung True’ is available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and on CD. It hightlights Jason’s exploration writing styles and demonstrates much of the dynamic range that he learned performing as a singer-songwriter. Energized by the focus, intimacy, and lyrical content that the singer-songwriter format demands, he is building new audiences in intimate settings featuring original music while continuing to play larger shows in Indianapolis’ premier live music venues.
Jason arrived on the music scene since 1993 as the front-man for Push Down & Turn. During the band’s 10-year run, he toured full-time throughout the U.S. playing clubs, festivals, and colleges. Highlights include playing the H.O.R.D.E festival with Neil Young, Primus, Toad The Wet Sprocket and others. The band also supported Counting Crows, Bush, The Freddy Jones Band, Widespread Panic, and The Bodeans on various tour dates.
